Carrier Hourly Analysis Program Helps Commercial Building Owners Claim Tax Deduction

SYRACUSE, N.Y.—Carrier Corp., a unit of United Technologies Corp., announced that the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) has approved its E20-II Hourly Analysis Program (HAP) v4.31 for calculating and certifying energy savings. Commercial building owners and leaseholders can now use the software to receive energy efficiency tax deductions under the Energy Policy Act (EPACT) 2005. To date, HAP is one of only four software programs to receive this approval. Litetronics Adds Neolite T2 CFLs to Product Line

ALSIP, ILL.—Litetronics International Inc. announces the addition of the new Neolite line of T2 compact fluorescent lamps (CFLs). The reduced tube size gives Neolite lamps a shorter maximum overall length (M.O.L.), so they easily fit into more applications. FuelCell Energy Expands into California Resort Market

DANBURY, CONN.—FuelCell Energy Inc., a leading manufacturer of ultra-clean and efficient electric power plants for commercial and industrial customers, announced the sale of a 750-kilowatt generating plant to a premier hospitality and entertainment resort, making it FuelCell Energy’s third hotel and lodging site in California. The unit was sold through FuelCell Energy’s distribution partner, Alliance Power Inc. DANVERS, MASS.—Sylvania announced the largest pledge commitment to date for the Energy Star Change a Light, Change the World campaign, which encourages Americans to change one lightbulb to an Energy Star compact fluorescent bulb, helping preserve energy resources and the environment.
