Fairmont Hotels & Resorts’ Water-Saving Initiatives Generate Big Savings

TORONTO—Without negatively impacting the guest experience, Fairmont Hotels & Resorts’ 37 owned and managed properties have implemented a wide range of water-saving initiatives to reduce costs and minimize environmental impact. The programs are part of Fairmont Green Partnership, a plan the Toronto-based company launched 16 years ago. The installation of low-flow showerheads, low-flush toilets and tap aerators are corporate standards throughout Fairmont. EPA Launches WaterSense, a Water Efficiency Program

SAN ANTONIO—WaterSense, a new water efficiency program launched by EPA, will educate American consumers on making smart water choices that save money and maintain high environmental standards without compromising performance. “Efficient products and informed consumers lead to smart water use,” says EPA Administrator Stephen L. Waterless Co., No-Flush Urinal Manufacturer, Celebrates 15th Anniversary

VISTA, CALIF.—Waterless Co. LLC, manufacturer of Waterless No-Flush urinals, announces the celebration of its 15 years in business. The company was started in 1991 with the goal of helping to reduce wasteful water usage and establish a new industry segment for non-water restroom fixtures. Green Restaurant Association Endorses use of Waterless No-Flush Urinals

VISTA, CALIF.—The Green Restaurant Assn. (GRA) has endorsed five Waterless No-Flush urinal designs manufactured by Waterless Co. LLC, Vista, Calif. The five designs include: Sierra, Kalahari, Sonora, Yukon and Del Casa. Waterless No-Flush Urinals save resources by operating without water while helping restrooms remain sanitary, “touch-less,” and odor-free. The endorsement means GRA will encourage its members to use the Waterless No-Flush system.
