NAFEM Show Just One Month Away at Orlando’s Orange County Convention Center
ORLANDO, FLA.—The North American Association of Food Equipment Manufacturers (NAFEM) Show is scheduled for February 1 to 3 in Orlando at the Orange County Convention Center. As of early January, 538 exhibitors planned to exhibit their products and services.

NEW YORK—Blueland and Plastic Pollution Coalition announced their formal action to petition the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to regulate the use of plastic film (PVA) in consumer-packaged goods, including all laundry detergent pods and sheets by requesting health and environmental safety tests of Polyvinyl Alcohol (PVA), and removing it from the Safer Choice List and Safer Chemical Ingredients List until the EPA can complete the requested health and environmental safety testing. WTTC Reveals African Travel & Tourism Sector Climate Footprint
LONDON—The World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC) and the Saudi-based Sustainable Tourism Global Center have unveiled new data detailing the climate footprint of the Travel & Tourism sector in Africa.
According to the new data, between 2010 and 2019, the African Travel & Tourism sector decoupled its economic growth from its greenhouse gas emissions.
The data shows the total contribution to Africa’s GDP grew on average 2.6 percent annually, whilst greenhouse gas emissions increased by just 1.2 percent during the same period.
