CHICAGO—Top officials from Protect-A-Bed, a leading provider of bedding protection products, announced the company has appointed four new distributors. Protect-A-Bed has named Advance Foam Limited (Barbados, Cayman Islands, Jamaica, Tobago and Trinidad), Matsushita Greatwall Corp. (Singapore) and Valmar Export Group (Columbia) as sole distributors of Protect-A-Bed products in their respective countries. Protect-A-Bed has also extended an agreement with King Koil Corp. to include Thailand. King Koil currently distributes Protect-A-Bed products in Malaysia.
“We are excited about the expanding markets and continuing to make Protect-A-Bed the top-of-mind brand for consumers when they think of protecting their mattress and creating a healthy sleep environment,” says James Bell, CEO. “The enthusiasm for our products has been overwhelming.”
Protect-A-Bed’s distributors work closely with the company’s sales reps and product trainers. “Key to our customer focus is our training program, which we offer to our major clients,” Bell says. “We spend a lot of time on hands-on training with distributors on the products’ features and benefits, and the most effective approach and introduction techniques for the consumer.”
According to distributors like Peter Ho, general manager, business development of King Koil Malaysia, understanding Protect-A-Bed’s products is central to being able to successfully sell the products to their customers. “The quality of Protect-A-Bed products and the training is exceptional,” Ho says. “We’re excited to use it to broaden our successful relationship with Protect-A-Bed into Thailand.”
