Since late 2016, I have been compiling a list of Hotel and Management Company Green Pages—the places on their websites where one can learn about their ESG efforts and possibly even link to their most recent ESG report. This past week I added the Global Hotel Alliance (GHA) to the list. It breaks the mold a bit because it is a compilation of independent hotel brands, but I thought it deserved to be on the list. This past week, the Alliance launched its Green Collection, bringing under one umbrella nearly 200 hotels, resorts and palaces operated by GHA hotel brands that are demonstrating their commitment to protecting people and the planet. Every Green Collection property has attained at least one certification from a globally recognized environmental organization. Kudos to the Alliance for grouping these hotels together.

The Hotel and Management Company Green Pages section of Green Lodging News has turned out to be quite popular, with 26,242 page views so far. There are currently 97 companies listed. 24/7 Hotels is the first on the list and Xanterra Parks & Resorts is the last. Where possible, I have included the official name of the company’s ESG program adjacent to the company name. There are currently 50 companies on the list with these official program names included.

What I believe makes this section of Green Lodging News so popular is two things: the desire to learn what steps a company is taking to save energy and water, reduce waste, help improve its local community, etc. and secondly benchmark one’s own company against the best of the best. In the race for the best of the best practices, everybody wins.

Take a glance at the Hotel and Management Company Green Pages. If you notice a company is missing and deserves to be on the list, please let me know. And, if you learn that a company on the list has given its ESG program a formal name, share it with me so I can post it. I can be reached at greenlodgingnews@gmail.com.
