IRVINE, CALIF.—Momentum Textiles & Wallcovering, the sustainably minded and innovative manufacturer of textiles and wallcoverings for the commercial design industry, has launched the colorful new Paradiso Collection for Spring 2023. Distilling natural forms—like cacti and birds of paradise—down to their essential elements, the collection features three energizing and inviting patterns. Paradiso’s intense durability is matched by rich textures and a soft hand evocative of residential fabrics. With its modern and bold interpretation of botanical motifs, the Paradiso Collection brings a playful, yet practical, sensibility to commercial settings of all sectors.

“We are thrilled to expand our biophilic design offerings with the Paradiso Collection,” says Paul Cleary, President and CEO of Momentum Textiles & Wallcovering. “This collection encompasses what Momentum is all about: textiles that are as aesthetically impressive as they are durable and usable across even the most high-traffic commercial settings. We look forward to seeing how Paradiso is used to enliven interiors and inspire designers.”

The patterns of the collection—Paradiso, Lark and Boheme—were conceptualized to mix and match. A luxurious hand anchors each design and creates a cohesive look across the collection, while each design maintains its own distinct personality through texture and pattern. The robust contrasting colors make for a trend-forward application across hospitality, workplace, corporate and educational interiors.

Connecting People & Nature

“This collection inspires,” says Ellie Moser, Senior Designer at Momentum, and the creative mind behind the Paradiso Collection. “Through color, texture, bold and graphic designs, the three patterns in this collection work in harmony effortlessly but also have the power to stand alone. It is my hope that designers connect with the biophilic-design elements of the collection and utilize the textiles to connect people and nature within their interior projects.”

In addition to the collection’s versatility, each pattern heralds Momentum’s commitment to sustainability. Through innovation in material science and a respect for the planet, Momentum’s Paradiso Collection incorporates recycled polyester in each design, and all are NSF 336 Compliant and GREENGUARD Certified.

Textiles in the collection include:

Paradiso

A large repeating pattern bursting with color, Paradiso is designed to energize a room. Inspired by plant life, designer Ellie Moser’s pattern concept for this design evolved into geometric shapes and bold graphic elements. Paradiso uses bold yarn colors for the six different colorways, offering a visual feast of kaleidoscopic shades. Created from two-ply cotton punctuated with a tonal slub yard, the base fabric features a complex texture that can reflect a range of moods and impart an endless versatility to the pattern. Composed of 51 percent cotton, 33 percent post-consumer recycled polyester and 16 percent nylon, Paradiso’s durability is 100,000 double rubs.

Lark

Designed to be combined with its collection counterparts Paradiso and Boheme, Lark is a classic texture available in 16 solid colors. Made from linen and recycled polyester, these fabrics are naturally variegated creating a canvas weave that can be mixed on a color-blocked single chair or within a single room. Composed of 72 percent recycled polyester, 19 percent viscose, 8 percent linen and 1 percent polyester, Lark’s durability is 100,000 double rubs.

Boheme

Luxuriously silky and plush, Boheme looks like an exotic blend of linen and silk yet is made from recycled olefin and polyester. As a sustainable and exceptionally high-performing fabric, Boheme was designed to complement the Paradiso pattern with its slight luster and rich saturated colors. Available in 13 solid hues, this fabric works on its own or in complement to other patterns. Composed of 17 percent solution-dyed recycled olefin and 30 percent polyester, Boheme’s durability is 100,000 double rubs.
