With versatility, flexibility, and sustainability at the top of mind, Havwoods is enhancing its product portfolio to offer even more design elements—perfect for both residential and commercial customers—going beyond the floor.
The three-dimensional Elegante Veneers are made from reconstituted Italian ALPI veneer from Ayous trees. A tropical tree native to West and Central Africa, the Ayous tree is fast-growing and sustainably produced, offering grain-neutral timber that can be easily colored and processed to create beautifully dynamic surface solutions that replicate any timber species. The veneer sheets are extremely lightweight compared to an alternate wood equivalent. Since the products are sold in sheets, the result is a unique but color-consistent flexible surface that can be installed on walls, ceilings, furniture, cabinetry, and subtly curved surfaces.
To color the veneer and create the color options, thin layers of Ayous are bleached, stained, and layered to replicate any grain or timber structure required, resulting in a realistic-looking wood without using endangered and exotic species. Once colored, the layers of veneer are molded and then CNC-machined to the requested profile shape.

Available in 12 Colors
Elegante Veneers is available in 12 colors, 15 shapes, three constructions, and the option for custom milling. The three-dimensional veneers are available in a range of different surface styles:
Fresato (Milled): Fresato designs are not stylistically restricted and can provide consistent gaps or complex patterns depending on the requirement.
Costato (Ribbed): Offering a structured curve, customers can choose how deep or wide the peaks and valleys can be.
Ondato (Wave): A concave wave design with less structural flexibility compared to Costato while remaining flexible and flowing in its design.
The 3000mm x 1200mm Elegante Veneers are available in a choice of three constructions:
TNT-backed 0.3mm wooden sheet: An incredibly versatile non-woven fabric backing, these sheets are ideal for structural elements, furniture, or walls.
15mm rigid panel backing: The veneers are backed onto a firmer, more structural panel in a choice of MDF or Plywood.
Flexible 5mm baton support backing (specific patterns): Havwoods’ most versatile backing for Costato Veneers can be applied to structural curves.
