Haier Rolls Out Line of Packaged Terminal Air Conditioners

NEW YORK—An industry leader in room air conditioners, Haier is introducing a new line of Packaged Terminal Air Conditioners (PTACs) designed to offer reliability, quality, and comfort for consumers who are the end users of traditional PTAC applications. Applications include hotels and motels, senior care facilities, dormitories, military housing, and some residential applications.

For many years now, Haier has dedicated itself to making home comfort products that are energy efficient, quiet, easy to maintain, and most importantly, that cool or heat properly and efficiently. With this in mind, Haier’s PTAC line includes features like an attractive digital thermostat module that can be either wall mounted or left in the unit, an intelligent control board, easy-to-access cleanable filters, and an aesthetically pleasing cabinet design that fits well in any application from a dorm room to a luxury hotel.

Some of the key features on Haier’s PTAC systems include quiet operation of the units with a separate indoor and outdoor motor design and Energy Efficiency up to 12.1 EER. All units meet the new 2012 DOE PTAC efficiency requirements. Haier’s universal 16” x 42” chassis fits all sleeves and units also feature built-in self-diagnostics, room freeze protection and are front desk control compatible.
