CLEVELAND, OHIO—Green Lodging News has added its ninth case study to its Vendor Case Studies section. The case study focuses on a large seafood restaurant, the plumbing-related backups and odor problems it faced, and how Roebic Laboratories products were used to treat the problems.

Despite frequent and expensive manual cleaning of the grease trap and drain lines, backups occurred about twice per month. Additionally, odors released from the trap were very strong and pungent, making unpleasant working conditions.

Roebic Main Line Cleaner was used for the first 30 days, and was applied through each floor drain at the rate of 8 ounces per drain, per day.

Uniquely formulated with 10 strains of Roebic’s patented Roetech® Bacteria and biodegradable surfactant, Main Line Cleaner is a highly concentrated waste degrader. It cleans main sewer pipes of grease, fats, sludge, and paper/tissue naturally—without the use of harsh chemicals.

Roebic Grease Trap Treatment was also applied through two sinks upstream of the grease trap at the rate of 8 ounces per sink, per day.

Grease Trap Treatment is formulated with Roebic’s patented Roetech® Bacteria and a biodegradable surfactant that digests and degrades food oils, fats and grease (FOGs) in grease traps, drains, septic tanks and cesspools. Neutralizes odors naturally.

Thanks to the Roebic treatments, there were no more backups and the unpleasant odors disappeared within two weeks.
