Dalkia Acquires Aegis Energy Services

HOLYOKE, MASS.—Dalkia has acquired Aegis Energy Services. Aegis Energy Services designs, installs and operates small-scale gas fired Combined Heat & Power (CHP) systems in the Northeastern and Mid-Atlantic United States. It has a varied portfolio of customers in the hospitality, healthcare and multi-unit residential markets and has been developing its small-scale CHP offerings for more than 30 years. Hyatt Regency Atlanta Builds on Leadership Position with Three Major Investments

ATLANTA—The 1,260-room Hyatt Regency Atlanta is investing in three major systems that will position it as one of the most efficient buildings in the United States—rain harvesting, solar thermal, and guestroom energy management. Wes Shirley, Director of Engineering at the 51-year-old hotel, is overseeing the improvements. On the rooftop above the Centennial Ballroom begins the rain harvesting system. Currently, the system covers one-half of the Ballroom’s rooftop—about 22,000 square feet. Shirley says the hotel may end up almost doubling that by using most of the roof’s remaining space. GoSpace Installs First Super-Fast Electric Vehicle Charger

TAMPA, FLA.—GoSpace announced the first installation of Super-Fast Electric Vehicle Chargers on the West Coast as part of Volkswagen’s Electrify America program. This first West Coast installation is at T & T Country Store located off of Interstate 84 in Huntington, Ore.
