Dalkia Acquires Aegis Energy Services

HOLYOKE, MASS.—Dalkia has acquired Aegis Energy Services. Aegis Energy Services designs, installs and operates small-scale gas fired Combined Heat & Power (CHP) systems in the Northeastern and Mid-Atlantic United States. It has a varied portfolio of customers in the hospitality, healthcare and multi-unit residential markets and has been developing its small-scale CHP offerings for more than 30 years.

The acquisition of Aegis Energy Services will allow Dalkia to strengthen its position in the United States, where the subsidiary Groom Energy Solutions already provides energy-efficiency solutions for business and industry. Aegis Energy Services will expand Dalkia’s offering and allow the group to develop innovative solutions to manage the energy performance of buildings.

The entire Aegis Energy Services management team and its President, Lee Vardakas, will continue to run and develop the company as part of the Dalkia Group.
