LAGRANGE, GA.—Milliken Hospitality’s latest carpet introduction, Orsay, takes its design cues from the work of the great impressionist masters—Renoir, Monet and Cassatt. With original interpretation from decorative artist Tracy Lee Stum, Orsay draws from an encyclopedia of decorative painting techniques and calligraphy.

Using Milliken’s étage technology, the collection allows designers to define their own style and create a fully custom look quickly and easily. By simply selecting and combing pattern layers, the designer has complete control to create their own masterpiece.

Orsay is available in both broadloom and 36-inch tile formats. The collection includes small, medium and large scale elements for ultimate flexibility in defining rugs, runners and addressing the floor covering needs of a wide variety of hospitality interiors. Manufactured to the highest green standards, like all Milliken carpet products, Orsay is PVC-free.

Broadloom. Orsay will be available on tufted, patterned, cut-pile and textured broadloom constructed with Type 6, 6 Nylon fibers in 32-, 36-, 42- and 50-ounce cut pile constructions as well as 32- and 36-ounce multi-level loop constructions. The collection will also be offered on Milliken’s new textured Strato construction in 32- and 36-ounce broadloom, making use of Milliken’s Convergence technology.

Modular. All Milliken modular collections are certified to the industry’s single green carpet standard. Orsay will be available in the Grand Plaza Nylon and Grand Plaza Wool modular format and new textured Strato construction 32-ounce modular. Milliken modular offers easy transportation and storage, simplified installation and disruption-free maintenance. The integrated cushion backing ensures underfoot comfort and extended appearance retention as well as up to 35 percent recycled content. Modular offers bio-based TractionBack adhesive-free installation, improving IAQ by eliminating VOCs. Replacements may be completed quickly in-house without inconveniencing customers, using on-site adhesives, or compromising revenue. No other carpet can contribute more to LEED.

Technology. Milliken’s award winning étage and Convergence technologies have expanded design expression for the hospitality industry. Étage layering technology builds a complex pattern, layer by layer. Etage puts the designer in control and creating a fully custom look becomes as simple as choosing and combining layers. Convergence technology integrates pattern and color into the structure of the carpet to create designs with dimensionality and texture.

StainSmart, Milliken’s stain and soil resistance technology, is a standard performance enhancement on all Milliken Performer products. AlphaSan also is incorporated for long-lasting antimicrobial protection. This protection inhibits odors caused by mold and mildew. ColorSeal bleach resistance and attached cushion pad are also available. The carpets carry a 10-year wear, stain and soil, and bleach protection warranty.

LaGrange, Georgia.-based Milliken Hospitality uses alternative energy and operates with zero waste to landfill. It is a business unit of Milliken & Company, the world’s largest privately held textile and chemical manufacturer, with an eco-heritage of 100-plus years.
