MOUNT VERNON, N.Y.— Andrew Morgan introduces Gestrum. Retaining his innovative use of color, pattern and texture that he has become so known for with his luxury knitted textiles, Gestrum by Andrew Morgan will bring these same qualities to a collection of throws, quilts, pillows and bed skirts in custom woven fabrics. This new collection will make its debut at the 2010 Hospitality Design Expo Conference in Las Vegas scheduled from May 18 to 20, 2010. The event will be held at the Sands Convention & Expo Center.

“So many luxury brands have grown to love Andrew Morgan Collection and Gestrum will provide the opportunity for many of the other brands within their families to access my designs for the first time,” Andrew Morgan says. “Gestrum maintains the quality and design aesthetics of my knit collection while allowing me to explore and create new inspirations in woven materials.”

Gestrum utilizes modern tapestries and menswear tweeds for inspiration along with culture and travel to create a design palette that is rich and romantic as well as modern, clean and tailored.

Inspired by Travel Destinations

“Whether it is the beauty of the shawls of Tibet and Nepal, or the Indigo Woodcuts Kimonos from Japan, I have drawn upon these inspirations to create a modern aesthetic with Gestrum,” adds Morgan. “Whether you want to feel transported to a villa in Tuscany or a townhouse in Kensington, Gestrum will take you there.”

Gestrum includes a new throw called the “Pod Pad,” along with techno patented bed skirts called “Bedsock” and “Bedfrok,” and a comfy patchwork blanket “Pod Hodgepodge.”

In addition to showcasing Gestrum at the 2010 Hospitality Design Expo Conference, Morgan will also be offering a preview of the Andrew Morgan 2010 Collection line. This collection features colors including Jade, Aqua, and Platinum along with texture patterns that reflect the imagery of roses and peacock feathers. This collection will be made from Ami-Vert fibers, a patented and revolutionary fiber that is not only environmentally friendly but can also withstand everyday indoor and outdoor wear while retaining its luxurious look and feel.
