SOLON, OHIO—Tarkett, a global leader in innovative and sustainable flooring solutions, has expanded its soft-surface portfolio with Living Contours. As the latest addition to Tarkett’s industry-leading portfolio of flooring solutions, the Living Contours carpet collection draws inspiration from expressive natural patterns formed through quiet processes that shape land over time.

“Movement within nature leaves behind contours that define surface and form. Wind traces the land; water carves gentle paths. These markings evolve, layer by layer, creating patterns that feel both fluid and grounded,” said Omoleye Simmons, Vice President of Design for Tarkett North America. “Each pattern in Living Contours reflects the subtle geometry of shifting terrain lines that bend, converge and disperse. Texture and tonal variation build through accumulation. Shapes emerge through repetition.”

The collection features six styles, each available in nine colorways across Powerbond hybrid carpet, ethos carpet tile, and Flex-Aire cushion carpet tile:

  • Ridge Veil expresses a quiet sense of order through softened geometry and layered depth. The pattern unfolds with a gentle consistency, supporting spaces that feel grounded, calm, and cohesive.
  • Canopy Thread is an expression of soft movement and layered light. Its abstract forms drift across the surface with a quiet rhythm, creating a sense of ease and gentle openness throughout the space.
  • With a finely articulated zigzag cadence, Fernmark translates motion into a layered, feathered texture. The structure is present but softened at its edges, creating a visual rhythm that feels both intentional and organic.
  • With gently layered movement and softened, organic textures, Stone Current reflects the quiet rhythm of time unfolding. Its moss-like surfaces and subtle circular flow evoke a sense of grounding and continuity, supporting reflection and connection.
  • Through softened repetition and subtle variation, Mossline becomes an expression of organic order. Its interconnected forms shift gently in scale and spacing, resulting in a surface that feels composed and softly evolving.
  • Juniper Trace expresses structure as something lightly suspended within softness. Its evenly spaced accents introduce a quiet cadence, while the textured underlayer holds the composition in a calm, cohesive balance.

For creative freedom, designers can personalize the collection’s palette through Tarkett’s Carpet Recoloring Studio. The recoloring tool is part of the Tailored by Tarkett visualizer suite, a free online platform through which designers can explore layouts, save swatches, discover coordinating wall bases and more.

Engineered for Durability

Every style in the collection is engineered for durability, permanent stain resistance and comfort to create spaces where people and communities thrive.

For demanding environments, Powerbond hybrid carpet offers unmatched durability, top-in-class moisture management and unrivaled ease of maintenance. Its chemically welded seams create a wall-to-wall impermeable moisture barrier, helping to contribute to good indoor air quality by avoiding conditions that are favorable to microbial growth. As evidence of Tarkett’s leadership in innovation, Powerbond RS was the world’s first Certified Asthma & Allergy Friendly soft surface flooring. In testing, it has been scientifically proven to reduce exposure to asthma and allergy triggers—a simple dry vacuuming removes 95 percent of allergens.

ethos carpet tile is a sustainable solution for high-traffic spaces where ease of installation is a must. It is non-PVC, Cradle to Cradle Certified Silver v. 5.0, Declare Red List Free, and made with up to 78 percent recycled content. The ethos backing contributes to the circular economy by being fully recycled back into itself through Tarkett’s ReStart take-back and recycling program. For preparation ease, ethos features an Omnicoat Technology barrier that prevents moisture, pH, or previous adhesives from affecting the floor installation—even over challenging substrates.

For spaces that demand durability with superior underfoot comfort, Flex-Aire cushion carpet tile is a standout option. It is ideal for environments where occupant well-being and seamless design transitions are paramount, such as open spaces or areas where people stand or walk for long periods. Its construction also helps ensure that liquids and soil stay at the surface, providing easier cleaning and reduced maintenance costs.

Dynex SD is Treated with Eco-Ensure

Powerbond, ethos, and Flex-Aire are all made with Tarkett’s proprietary Dynex SD fiber system, a premium cationic nylon yarn made with 100 percent recycled fiber resin. Dynex SD is treated with Eco-Ensure, a chemistry with a C2C Certified Material Health Certificate at the Gold level that resists soiling from oils and organic materials. This fluorine-free soil protection technology lowers the cost of maintenance and creates healthier spaces by promoting better indoor air quality with low-VOC emissions. It resists crushing even in high-traffic areas. Dynex SD is also designed to provide long-lasting vibrancy, color integrity, UV fade resistance, and permanent stain resistance, all to maintain its appearance and structure over time.

The entire collection is part of Tarkett’s ReStart take-back and recycling program.

Living Contours is the latest addition to the Tarkett Solution SPECtrum, which brings together an industry-leading breadth of responsibly made flooring and accessories, plus tailored options and unmatched design flexibility that empower designers to create without limits.
