SAN LUIS OBISPO, CALIF.—Native Trails, a leading manufacturer of artisan-crafted, sustainable kitchen and bath products, is expanding its Winemaker series with new vanities handmade from white oak staves salvaged from California wineries.

The new 24″, 36″, and 60″ freestanding and 24″ floating vanities feature open shelving and spacious, soft-close drawers with discreetly integrated pulls, resulting in furniture that is as functional as it is beautiful. The vanities are hand-made in the USA and available in Cask Oak and Charred Oak finishes.

During the fermentation process, these French and American solid white oak staves absorb the wine’s flavor and aroma for months, enhancing the wood’s exceptional character and grain. After their useful life in winemaking concludes, the wine-stained and wine-scented oak staves are collected from local vineyards and wineries for an extensive processing phase. They are dried thoroughly, wire-brushed to remove wine residue, then planed and sanded to a smooth, buttery soft finish, showcasing the natural beauty and uniqueness of the wood. The finishing touch involves hand-applying stain and a water-resistant, low-VOC protective finish.

Distinguished by intricately placed horizontal slatting and generous graining, the Winemaker Series now touts three additional freestanding sizes—24”, 36”, and 60” and a 24” floating vanity. The bath vanities feature open shelving and spacious, soft-close drawers with discretely integrated pulls, providing ample storage and furniture that is as functional as it is beautiful. Contemporary with a classic twist, the Winemaker Series is available in two finishes—Cask Oak, a versatile, nutty brown, and Charred Oak, a timeless, washed black hue.
