NEW YORK—Worksman Cycles, America’s oldest cycle manufacturer, announces an expanded and upgraded line of Industrial Cycles for the hospitality industry. Featuring bicycles, tricycles and even quadcycles, Worksman offers a complete range of Industrial Cycles for any lodging application including grounds and maintenance, housekeeping, security and activities.

Long known for their “super-duty” capabilities—credit the fully lugged and hand-brazed steel frames, industrial rated axles, chains and rims and range of baskets, cabinets and platform—Worksman can now boast of their environmentally conscious benefits as well. Produced in its solar-powered factory in New York City, the cycles are finished with water-based, vegetable pigment paints. Added to the local manufacture and shipping, Worksman Cycles have a fraction of the total carbon impact of competitive vehicles, either fuel or pedal powered.

“We have seen a tremendous increase in demand for our Industrial Cycles among hotels and resorts in the past several years,” says Wayne Sosin, Worksman’s president. “While we have traditionally sold recreational bicycles and tricycles for guest use to our lodging clients, they are now increasingly turning to our cycles to replace carts and trucks where applicable.”

New features include dent and rust proof polycarbonate fenders and chainguards and optional poly-filled “airless technology” tires that virtually eliminate flats. Another growing trend is the use of “vinyl wrapping” that allows the property’s logo and graphics to be displayed on the cabinets.
