MORRIS, CONN.—Winvian Farm, the award-winning AAA Five-Diamond resort and restaurant, and New England’s only property with an organic working farm, has teamed up with Tesla Motors to provide an increasingly desirable, sustainable amenity: Tesla Destination Charging. Featuring two Tesla 100 AMP charging stations, along with one 40 AMP universal electric vehicle charger, guests can charge their vehicles while on property. This amenity provides guests of Winvian Farm a convenience they would otherwise only find at home.
Winvian Farm joins a rapidly growing network of resorts in Tesla’s Destination Charging Program. Tesla partners with world renowned hotels and restaurants to offer High Power Connectors to visitors. Model S offers 265 miles of range on a single charge so the High Power Wall Connector can easily top off the Tesla in a couple of hours.
Director of Sales & Marketing of Winvian Farm, Win Smith III, states, “Winvian Farm is constantly evolving our services to heighten our guests’ experiences year after year. In combining the forward-thinking Tesla with the immersive experience in nature that is Winvian Farm, we only further our commitment to providing outstanding services and earth-friendly offerings. Both guests and their vehicles now have the opportunity to recharge and rejuvenate.”
Winvian Farm and other Tesla Destination Charging locations are hosted on Tesla’s interactive webpage and will soon be GPS located on Model S’ navigation through a free software update sent wirelessly to the car.
