Telkonet Names John M. Srouji New Chief Sales & Operating Officer

John M. Srouji

MILWAUKEE, WIS.—John M. Srouji is the new Chief Sales and Operating Officer for Telkonet Inc., a U.S.-listed company that offers energy management solutions to the occupancy-based building controls market. Telkonet has historically served the Hospitality, MDU, and Military Housing segments, with more than 7,000 properties installed worldwide.

Srouji will be responsible for the overall productivity and effectiveness of the sales and operations of the company. COO responsibilities include leading and overseeing business operations to meet orders and revenue growth targets; and driving customer excellence to ensure Telkonet continues to serve existing customers and effectively onboards new customers. Srouji will be responsible for developing and implementing strategy, policy, and procedures to meet the company’s targets. He will report to the Telkonet CEO.

Srouji earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and his Master of Science degree from New York University. He worked in the Building and Energy Controls Industry with Honeywell International Inc. from 2005 to 2022, holding various management roles such as Director of Business Development and Director of Operations.

Solving the Challenges of an Ever-Changing Market

“I am glad to join the Group and am convinced that Telkonet is able to solve challenges of an ever-changing market and together with VDA Group build a global strategic offering in EMS and GRMS,” explained Srouji.

“We are very pleased to have John on board and are convinced that with his contribution, Telkonet will be able to consolidate its position as a leading IoT-tech providing smart energy solutions to help the buildings reduce energy consumption and reduce world carbon footprint,” said Telkonet’s CEO Piercarlo Gramaglia.

Telkonet Inc. is a U.S.-based company listed on the OTC market and operating in the field of Energy Management Systems (EMS). Telkonet was recently acquired by VDA Group, an Italian multinational operating in the field of Guest Room Management Systems (GRMS) designed for the Hospitality industry. The new Group—with 7,000 properties and 2,450,000 products installed in facilities located in the United States, Europe, Middle East, and Asia—stands as the largest global player in a market currently without leadership, to define the future of the industry by emphasizing the value of people in the development of technologies aimed at comfort and energy savings.
