BRAINTREE, MASS.—Symmons, a manufacturer of commercial and residential plumbing products, has introduced its new Ultra-Sense S-6050 Series Sensor Activated Faucet. Designed for commercial and residential hand-washing applications, the S-6050 is a battery-powered, sensor-activated lavatory faucet equipped with self-adjusting infrared microchip technology.

The S-6050 is easy to install and features solid-brass housing and a durable polycarbonate sensor lens to minimize vandalism. The S-6050 is crafted with a high-arc, long-reach profile for recessed mountings and features a 10-second factory-set cycle time and will “time out” by automatically shutting off if the sensor is blocked. The entire electronics and battery package is securely encased in the faucet body above the deck and the model is available for single-hole or four-inch center installations with a solid brass deck plate.

The S-6050 includes a vandal-resistant aerator, operating at a flow rate of 1.5 GPM (5.7 L/min). Its six-volt lithium battery power pack lasts approximately 180,000 cycles and includes a LED activation alert with low-battery alert. The Ultra-Sense S-6050 is ADA compliant.

All Symmons products comply with all applicable codes and standards in the United States and Canada, including ANSI A112.18.1M, EPA ’92 and all known flow rate requirements.
