LOS ANGELES—Staron Surfaces, a product of technology leader Samsung, recently added 10 new solid surface colors to appeal to remodelers and commercial designers. More than 70 colors are now available in total. The seven new colors in Solid Surfaces cover both Sanded classic and Aspen classic color varieties. Incorporating the use of small, sand-sized particles in varying degrees of depth and visibility, Sanded classic includes the new Sanded Birch, Sanded Papyrus, Sanded Tundra and Sanded Clay surfaces. Aspen Milk has been added to the Aspen classic line, which combines small and mid-sized particles in a bed of muted solid colors to create an under-stated, natural appearance.

Three new colors have been added to Staron’s most high-end solid surfaces line, Tempest, which now includes Tempest Peak, Tempest Adamantine and Tempest Colluvium. The new additions provide an increased depth of color saturation and aesthetic featuring a hint of subtle, reflective chips.

“We continue to expand our color palate to enhance the options available for residential and commercial applications,” said Dale Mandell, Samsung’s surfacing division’s North America sales director. “These color varieties can provide a high-end look, but offer more versatility, as well as hygienic advantages for which Staron surfaces is known.”

The new Solid Surfaces and Tempest colors are certified by the GREENGUARD Environmental Institute, passing the requirements of two GREENGUARD certification programs. GREENGUARD Indoor Air Quality Certified product certification is granted for low-emitting interior building materials, furnishings and finish systems. The GREENGUARD certification streamlines the process for attaining points toward LEED for Commercial Interiors certification in its Environmental Quality (EQ) 4.5 section.
