With September just a couple of days away, I thought it would be timely to point out some upcoming fall events to keep in mind as possible ones to attend. The first event is The Well Summit at Union Market in Washington, D.C. If wellness is your focus, be sure to check out the itinerary for this event. One of the speakers will be physician and New York Times Best-Selling Author Dr. Mark Hyman. He is an internationally recognized leader, speaker, educator, and advocate in the field of Functional Medicine.

If you plan to attend The Lodging Conference in Phoenix, you will have to look hard to find a session on sustainability but there is one entitled, “Attract Investors, Lenders and Guests with Sustainable Hotels.”

The Latino Hotel Association conference will kick off on October 11 and the Women in Tourism and Hospitality Summit October 30. November will not have the HX: The Hotel Experience this time but will have Boutique Design New York once again. Already, two NEWH Green Voice sessions are planned: “Biophilia—The Growing Impact of Nature in Design”; and “EVEN Hotels—Wellness integral to Design.”

For those interested in cleaning and maintenance, the ISSA Show will be held in Las Vegas beginning November 13. There is an ESG track that includes nine sessions. The fall will wrap up with the Inspire Luxury Hospitality Conference. One of the sessions there is entitled, “The Power of Wellness and Mindfullness in Luxury Hospitality: Boosting Profitability and Elevating Guest Satisfaction.” Another: “The Road Less Traveled: How to Implement Sustainability Initiatives without Operational Disruption and High Costs.” Follow our Events calendar for information on other fall events.
