Sloan Names New Product Managers

FRANKLIN PARK, ILL.—Sloan announced the hiring of Mike Gipson as product line manager, Flushometers, and Carrie Halle as product strategy manager.

Gipson will be responsible for managing and marketing the flushometer product line. While serving as the voice of the customer for this product category, Gipson’s duties will include defining flushometer product strategy, positioning and pricing strategies. He will work closely with Sloan’s new product development team, as well as with quality, supply chain, customer service and technical support teams to ensure customer needs are met. 

Gipson has more than 20 years of experience in product and brand management, most recently as a marketing research consultant. Prior to that, he held several leadership roles at Crescent Cardboard Co., including group product manager, director of marketing and director of sales and marketing. In addition, Gipson’s career includes a variety of product management and marketing roles at Blair Worldwide, Fellowes Manufacturing Co., First Alert/BRK Brands Inc. and Helene Curtis. Gipson has a Business Administration degree from Augustana College and an M.B.A.-Marketing from the University of Illinois.

Focus on New Products

Carrie Halle will be responsible for supporting Sloan’s new product development process, specifically in the idea conception and prioritization phases. She will facilitate the marketing intelligence input and support the stage gate phases of new product ideas. In addition, Halle will manage Sloan marketing intelligence needs for input into company and product strategies. 

Halle offers more than 18 years of in-depth marketing and business development experience. In her most recent role, Halle was the marketing director at Emerson Electric, Tools & Storage Division, Knaack LLC. Prior to that, she worked at Waterside Consulting, a marketing management consulting firm, where she consulted with mid-sized local manufacturers to develop new and emerging business opportunities. Halle gained product management and marketing strategy experience at Zurich North America, U.S. Cellular, Motorola and Verizon. Halle has a Bachelor of Business Administration and an M.B.A. in Marketing and Management from the University of Wisconsin.
