NEW YORK—Sina Pearson, designer/manufacturer of New York City-based Sina Pearson Textiles, premieres Fast Track, a new high performance upholstery fabric collection. Five complementary patterns in a total of 30 colorways reference iconic athletic motifs and colors from the world of competitive sports. The collection consists of a knit mesh, a textured chenille, a PVC-free polyurethane, a bleach cleanable polyester/acrylic, and an indoor/outdoor Sunbrella Contract jacquard weave. Fast Track is ideal for workplace, healthcare, institutional, hospitality, or any application calling for visually striking, exceptionally durable solutions.

Marathon is a large scale pattern featuring dramatic diagonal bars that seem to be on the move.  It is offered in five colorways—a palette that includes coral, lime green, electric blue, mint, purple and grey. Woven of Sunbrella Contract yarns and suitable for both indoor and outdoor use, Marathon is colorfast, mildew-resistant, soil-, stain- and water-repellant. Fleecey is a coordinating solid-color chenille also woven of Sunbrella Contract yarns, available in beige, white, grey and charcoal. Both Marathon and Fleecey are bleach cleanable and harsh chemical-safe. Relay, in seven rich iridescent hues, is a PVC-free, anti-microbial and anti-bacterial polyurethane. Mesh is a dimensional polyester knit intended for both upholstery and wall covering application. Reminiscent of high-tech running gear, it is offered in nine vivid solid colors and neutrals, including tangerine, citron, cobalt and silver. Sprinter is a fine line pattern inspired by a race track, offered in five colorways. Woven of bleach cleanable, recycled polyester and nylon yarns, it has an Incase stain-repellant finish.

All five patterns exceed the Association of Contract Textiles’ standard for high performance, with the following Wyzenbeek abrasion test results: Marathon, Relay, Mesh and Sprinter—100,000 double rubs; and Fleecey—45,000 double rubs.

Marathon and Fleecey (Sunbrella Contract) are woven in the U.S.A. and meet ACT’s Facts silver level, a sustainability ratings system developed by the Association of Contract Textiles. The program evaluates a textile for environmental, economic and social aspects across its lifecycle. The silver level demonstrates the fabric conforms to the rigors of the multi-attribute standard NSF-ANSI 336, and is third-party certified. Relay (the polyurethane) is PVC-free and contains no formaldehyde, phthalate, BPA, lead or heavy metal. Sprinter is woven in the U.S.A. of post-consumer recycled fibers; dyeing and finishing occur within 500 miles of the mill, all of which contribute to LEED points.
