NEW YORK—Sina Pearson, New York City-based designer/manufacturer of innovative commercial textiles, introduces a new collection titled Jubilee. Confetti, an indoor/outdoor fabric woven with Sunbrella Contract yarns, harmonizes with Sparkler, a glittery, sustainable polyurethane. Offered in many colorways, both patterns are beach cleanable, stain-resistant and durable.

The new twosome complements Pearson’s All Spaces and Geometry 101 collections and is ideal for contract, healthcare, institutional, hospitality and residential use.

Confetti combines its geometric motifs and color contrasts in unexpected, lively rhythms. The eight colorways, with names like Fruit Punch and Crayon, blend vivid hues with neutrals for effects that pop. Confetti complements Sparkler, a shimmery polyurethane in 11 solid jewel tones.

Confetti, an indoor/outdoor fabric, is woven of 63 percent Sunbrella solution-dyed acrylic yarns and 37 percent Sunbrella polyester yarns. The solution-dye process ensures exceptional fade-, weather- and mildew resistance outside, and stalwart durability indoors. Sparkler, intended for indoor use, is 100 percent polyurethane. A score exceeding 86,000 double rubs (for Confetti) and 400,000 double rubs (for Sparkler) on the Wyzenbeek abrasion test exceeds the Association of Contract Textiles’ standard for high performance. Stain-repellant, both patterns are cleanable with bleach solutions or disinfectants.

Confetti meets ACT’s Facts silver level, a sustainability ratings system developed by the Association of Contract Textiles. The silver level demonstrates the fabric conforms to the rigors of the multi-attribute standard NSF-ANSI 336, and is third-party certified. The program evaluates a textile for environmental, economic and social aspects across its life cycle. Confetti is woven in the United States. Sunbrella Contract’s manufacturing facility is essentially waste-free; the fabric is engineered for a serviceable lifespan of two to 10 times longer than conventional textiles. Sparkler, the polyurethane, is free of PVC, formaldehyde, phthalate, BPA, lead and heavy metal.
