ORLANDO, FLA.—RezHub.com has re-launched their website, delivering discount and green travel to the mainstream. The concept was born out of the understanding that while many travelers are interested in going green on vacation, these kinds of trips are often overlooked because they are perceived as too expensive or too extreme. RezHub has been able to remove these misconceptions by eliminating barriers including: higher cost, longer duration, and limited availability. And even when a green opportunity is not available for a particular trip, travelers may still feel good about travel knowing that RezHub always donates 20 percent of their profits to environmental nonprofit groups.

RezHub.com was the first travel agency to highlight eco-friendly hotels and rental car options in every search. The tools give travelers a quick and easy way to learn about environmentally friendly travel options, illustrating that going green does not have to mean going to extremes. The biggest focus of the Green Travel Hub is that “green travel is simple and is available to everyone and for every trip.” With more than 1,600 green hotels within 40 countries, green travel is within everyone’s grasp.

To celebrate its re-launch, RezHub.com has partnered with the Pacific Beach Hotel in Honolulu and Hertz Car Rental to create the Dream Green Vacation Giveaway. The contest includes a four-night stay and a $350 voucher from Hertz. The Pacific Beach Hotel is one of a few hotels to have earned a four out of five green branch score on RezHub.com.

Many travelers assume that going green means spending more green, but this is not necessarily true. RezHub has partnered with WorldChoiceTravel, a subsidiary of Travelocity, to provide discounted hotels from around the world, most of which are listed at a 110 percent best price guarantee. Additionally, RezHub has contracted directly with many major car rental companies, including Hertz, Dollar and Thrifty, to provide the lowest possible pricing available by eliminating any middleman. The entire site received both a graphical and a technical redesign, contributing to an overall increase in site speed of nearly 75 percent.

“We want the public to know that taking a meaningful vacation does not have to mean spending more money or going to extremes,” says creative director for the website, Marlin Lopez. “We make green travel opportunities available at discount prices, and even if they don’t fit your itinerary simply booking your trip here will help make a difference.”
