SANTA CRUZ, CALIF.—LittleFootprint Lighting, a producer of sustainably designed LED task lighting products made in the United States from recycled e-waste, announced it has signed a Master Distributor agreement with Pineapple Hospitality, a distributor of environmentally friendly products to the hospitality industry. The agreement will cover the nationwide distribution of LittleFootprint Lighting’s HeronLED Personal Task Light, the first and only desk lamp made in the United States from e-Waste.

As Master Distributor, Pineapple Hospitality will extend the availability of LittleFootprint Lighting’s ultra high-efficiency desktop lighting to all of Pineapple Hospitality’s lodging industry clients.

“Pineapple Hospitality is proud to add LittleFootprint Lighting to the robust network of sustainable product suppliers that make Pineapple the greenest hospitality supply distributor in the country,” said Ray Burger, president of Pineapple Hospitality. “The HeronLED’s rigorous environmental standards and stylish design make it a natural fit for the hospitality industry.”

LittleFootprint Lighting’s HeronLED uses less than one-seventh the energy of a comparable incandescent desk lamp, features a long-lasting and replaceable LED bulb that provides “warm white” light, and is easily adjustable to get the right amount of light where users need it. The body of the lamp is made of recycled plastic harvested from e-waste; the metal base is made from recycled scrap metal; and product manufacturing and fulfillment take place in California. The HeronLED is the first made-in-USA LED desk lamp to have earned the Energy Star.

“Pineapple began promoting sustainable solutions to the hospitality industry long before it was cool to be green, so we know they’re sincere in their dedication to making a difference,” said Nancy Wahl-Scheurich, CEO of LittleFootprint Lighting. “We’re confident that Pineapple’s deep understanding of the hospitality industry, contacts, and years of experience finding inroads for sustainable products into large and small properties alike is just what we need to be successful in this market.”
