DALLAS—Omni Hotels & Resorts announced plans to donate 750,000 meals to Feeding America in honor of September Hunger Action Month. The brand is raising awareness around food insecurity and engaging guests, the local communities where its hotels are located and colleagues to take part with several activations nationwide. The campaign is being amplified with a three-city tour across the United States featuring an Omni Hotels & Resorts branded hot-air balloon that will fly at Omni PGA Frisco Resort in Frisco, TX; The Omni Homestead Resort in Hot Springs, Va.; and Omni Atlanta Hotel at CNN Center in Atlanta, underscoring Omni Hotels & Resorts’ pledge to fight food insecurity by “raising” awareness to this important effort.

As part of this initiative, Omni Hotels & Resorts is offering several ways for guests and the public to get involved.

  • Double donations for all leisure and group bookings completed between September 1 to 30 across Omni’s portfolio of over 50 hotels and resorts nationwide
  • Double donations for guests opting out of house cleaning services during their stay in September.
  • One meal donation for every large coffee or espresso drink sold on-property.
  • A dedicated landing page for online donations directly to Feeding America here.

“We are honored to be able to contribute to a cause we care so deeply about,” said Peter Strebel, Chairman of Omni Hotels & Resorts. “We are more than just a business; we are a family, and we are proud members of the communities where we operate. Our guests have become equally passionate about the cause, and we see Hunger Action Month as a great opportunity to drive impact, multiply our donations, and engage our communities in raising awareness for food scarcity and insecurity.”

Hot Air Balloon Schedule

Omni PGA Frisco Resort (set to open in Spring 2023), The Omni Homestead Resort, and Omni Atlanta Hotel at CNN Center (at Centennial Park) are further amplifying efforts to raise awareness with a hot-air balloon activation staged to inspire local communities and guests with a call to action to fight hunger. The hot-air balloon debuts at Omni PGA Frisco Resort on September 13, followed by The Omni Homestead Resort on September 15, and ends its tour on September 19 at Omni Atlanta at CNN Center in Centennial Park. Each property will host client events, as part of Omni Hotels & Resorts’ Here Comes Omni annual sales mission, incentivizing clients to also act. In addition to creating beautiful visuals and providing access to three of Omni’s premier hotels, the attention-grabbing balloons will also help raise awareness of the Feeding America mission in honor of Hunger Action Month and spread the message for a nationwide call to action.

Hunger Action Month activations are part of Omni Hotels & Resorts’ Say Goodnight to Hunger initiative, which was launched in June 2016 to support the more than 42 million Americans who live with food scarcity. Every Omni Hotels & Resort location participates in Say Goodnight to Hunger; to date, more than 21 million meals have been donated to Feeding America and, with a combined brand and community effort for Hunger Action Month, the projected donation will bring that number to close to 22 million meals.
