FRANKLIN PARK, IL—The new Sloan Lumino sensor-operated faucet from Sloan Valve Co. allows users to adjust water temperature, which is visually indicated by an illuminated color ring. Red indicates hot water; white is for tempered, or mixed, water; and blue is for cold.

The Sloan Lumino is a new addition to the Sloan Optima family of touch-free, hygienic faucets, and part of the company’s line of sensor-operated, water-saving plumbing fixtures. The faucet operates at a water-efficient flow rate of 0.5 gallons per minute.

Users adjust the water temperature by turning a lever on the side of the pedestal type deck-mount faucet. An illuminated ring near the top of the faucet changes color depending on the water temperature setting.

• Red: The ring turns red when the lever is pulled forward for hot water.

• White: When the lever is set upright, the ring becomes white to indicate tempered water.

• Blue: Pushing the lever back for cold water changes the ring to blue.

The ring is illuminated dim white when the faucet is in standby mode.

The European styled die-cast metal pedestal faucet fits a variety of installation applications. Various decorative finish options are available, and trim plates may be ordered for sinks with more than one hole. Equipped with double infrared sensors and microprocessor-based logic to ensure trouble-free, on-demand activation, the Sloan Lumino faucet is powered by a 6-volt DC plug-in transformer.
