SALT LAKE CITY—Control4, a provider of residential and light commercial automation systems, announced that the newly built, luxury Montage Deer Valley Residences will feature Control4 smart home solutions.
In April of 2011, Montage Deer Valley unveiled the Control4 hospitality solution in a total of 154 deluxe guestrooms and 66 suites within the resort. Control4 implementation within the Montage Deer Valley resort includes automation of lighting and temperature, fireplace control, effortless entertainment, remote controlled privacy settings and energy saving features.
“I remember talking to a guest and [the guest] said, ‘I want the TV to turn to Fox News at 6 a.m. and I want the fireplace to come on, the lights to adjust to this setting and the thermostat to reach 72 degrees,’” said David Mars, Montage Deer Valley Resort Manger. “And at 6 a.m., the whole thing happened. He said it was magnificent. So I think that’s a testament to how easy this is to utilize, right there in your own hotel room.”
The Control4 hospitality solution provides in-room automation services, combined with an integrated energy management tool.
Lights Off, Thermostat Adjusted When Guests Leave
“What’s really nice about this system from a hotelier’s perspective is that it allows us to minimize our carbon footprint,” added Mars. “When a guest checks out, it immediately tells the room to turn all the lights off and it takes the thermostat to a temperature that minimizes the amount of energy. In hotels past, when people brought up connectivity and automation in a room, it was because it didn’t work or it was too challenging or frustrating. We never hear that from our guests. That’s a big benefit of Control4.”
Now, just a little more than one year since the introduction of Control4 in the resort, the Montage Deer Valley is offering Control4 smart home technology to owners of its new private residences. The 80 residences are located on the upper six floors of the Montage Deer Valley resort building. Buyers are presented with the opportunity to outfit their residences with the latest in Control4 smart home technology.
Montage Deer Valley private residence owners are given complete creative control to pick and choose which aspects of the system they want integrated into their new home; whether they want to create a truly custom home entertainment experience, extend control over lighting scenes and energy management, or enhance automated security solutions. Based on their unique lifestyles and what they wish to achieve with Control4, residence owners can choose to start small with a one-room automation solution or opt for total home control throughout the entire residence.
