NORTH OLMSTED, OHIO—Moen Incorporated’s Commercial Division introduces a new way to prevent vandalism and save water in the shower with its Vandal-Resistant Eco-Performance wall-mounted showerhead. The new model is certified to meet WaterSense criteria, offering a significant water savings without sacrificing performance. It features a flow rate of 1.5 gallons per minute—a 40 percent water savings from the industry standard of 2.5 gallons per minute.

In addition to its water-saving features, the new Vandal-Resistant Eco-Performance showerhead offers protection against damage. Made from solid cast brass, the heavy-duty showerhead cannot be adjusted by users and is angled so objects cannot be hung from it, preventing it from being pulled off the wall. The chrome finish resists harsh, industrial cleaners and maintains its appearance year after year. The Vandal-Resistant Eco-Performance showerhead utilizes stainless steel Torx mounting screws which require a special tool for servicing and can be used with brick, tile or concrete surfaces, increasing installation options.

“The new Vandal-Resistant Eco-Performance showerhead will help facility managers achieve significant cost savings, lowering their water and energy bills—and limiting repairs and replacements,” said George Spear, senior product manager, Moen Commercial. “Plus, the showerhead is certified to meet WaterSense standards, which encourage the use of water-efficient products and practices that reduce water consumption and save money.”

Unlike many low-flow showerheads that simply restrict the water flow, Moen Commercial’s Vandal-Resistant Eco-Performance showerhead features an optimized spray pattern to preserve the showering experience that the end-user is accustomed to from traditional showerheads.

Specifying the new Moen Commercial Vandal-Resistant Eco-Performance showerhead can also contribute toward a building’s eligibility for LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification, by reducing water use and may contribute to significant points in the Water Use Reduction category.
