CHICAGO—For the 2018 National Restaurant Association Show, held at McCormick Place, Master-Bilt is highlighting their more efficient and eco-friendly remote refrigeration.

Master-Bilt’s newly redesigned remote refrigeration systems consist of M-Series condensing units and E-Series evaporator coils equipped with environmentally-friendly R-448A/R-449A refrigerant.

  • Expansion of the M-Series condensing units to include models from ¼ HP all the way to 15 HP.
  • A switch to more efficient and reliable compliant scroll compressors on many models. In fact, all low temp units are now standard with scroll compressors. Medium temp models are available in both hermetic and scroll, depending on HP rating.
  • Many popular options are now set up as standard system configurations, such as Master Controller Reverse Cycle Defrost and evaporator pre-assembly, for ease of ordering.
  • Expanded offering of evaporator coils including new low-profile models designed for easy serviceability and maximum efficiency.

To make systems even more efficient, Master-Bilt has partnered with industry leader, Emerson, to provide Scroll Digital compressors in many models. Scroll Digital compressors provide a lower total cost of ownership by being more energy efficient with a longer life. Visual aids and a video presentation will be displayed at the booth to educate and inform visitors on the features and benefits of scroll compressors.

Master Controller Reverse Cycle Defrost System

Other refrigeration system-related displays include a demonstration of the Master Controller Reverse Cycle Defrost system and a parallel rack refrigeration system. The Master Controller increases food safety, prevents product loss and saves significantly on energy bills. Its Web2Walk-In software increases user connectivity with Internet monitoring and programming of data and set points. Also, its patented design saves up to 27 percent more energy than an all-mechanical system.

Parallel rack systems allow operators to maximize energy savings and have full control of an entire refrigeration network within a facility. Systems may also be in a back room or on a roof close to refrigeration equipment for reduced piping.

Master-Bilt staff will be on hand at the show to demonstrate how selecting the right refrigeration system can help customers meet the immediate needs of their business, reduce operation and service expenses and prepare for the future.
