SAN DIEGO—Kirei, a provider of sustainable acoustic design materials, announced Matrix Grid, Ace Baffle, and Ramp Tile, as part of Carnegie Acoustic Solutions’ Tuned Collection. The three new products utilize air gaps to improve acoustic functionality while inviting designers to explore how sound can shape a space just as much as aesthetics. All of the products in the Tuned collection are designed to work seamlessly together, offering complementary shapes, colors, and textures that transform walls and ceilings into functional, beautiful acoustic solutions.

“With the Tuned Collection, we are continuing to push Kirei to be at the forefront of what can be done in the architectural acoustic PET category,” said Michael DiTullo, Head of Product Innovation, Carnegie Acoustic Solutions. “We continue to reduce additional materials and waste as well as minimize shipping size to make the most sustainable products we can that are also visually stunning.”

The three new Kirei products in the collection include:

  • Matrix Grid: Matrix Grid offers a premium acoustic overhead lattice with the simplicity of Kirei installation. Its patent-pending design mimics an ACT grid and uses customizable baffles with scalable connectors. It accommodates lighting and HVAC while ensuring easy assembly and installation. Matrix Grid offers an impressive sound absorption rating with an Array-NRC of 0.85.
  • Ace Baffle: Ace Baffle delivers clean, bold acoustic solutions with its long, elegant planes and open-core design. Available in four standard lengths, its flush end-caps enhance any space with precision and sound absorption. Ace Baffle has an Array-NRC of 0.50-0.55 depending on installation.
  • Ramp Tile: Ramp Tile features a linear texture and open-core design for large-scale acoustic impact. Measuring 46″, it can be installed horizontally or vertically for quick, aesthetically appealing wall solutions. Ramp Tiles are easy to install with construction adhesive. Ramp Tile has an NRC of 1.05 due to the geometry of the product and the additional surface area created.

Kirei products are all made from 60 percent recycled post-consumer plastics, so designers can be sure that every product they specify diverts plastic bottles from the waste stream. All of the products meet or exceed CDPH standards for VOCs and are Red List Free and Declare Label qualified/certified. They are inherently Class A fire-rated, carry an HPD and EPD, and qualify for LEED and WELL building credits. Kirei products allow for custom cutting, are available in over 35 through-panel PET colors, and can be custom-printed with Kirei Ink, an in-house printing service offering remarkably realistic quality.

As a B-Corp who champions PVC-free and recycled materials, Carnegie strives to lead the acoustics industry with an authentic commitment to sustainability. From biobased textiles made from sugarcane to PET products made with post-consumer recycled plastics, Carnegie Acoustic Solutions delivers beautiful and innovative acoustic solutions with sustainability at its core.

When designers specify Kirei and Carnegie products, they can utilize Carnegie Acoustic Design Services, a complimentary support service with an in-house team of design professionals to help curate bespoke product selections to meet project design specifications, performance needs, and budget requirements.
