SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH—Control4, a leader in IP-based home and hospitality control systems, announced that the Control4 platform is being used to enhance the guest experience at Jumby Bay, a Rosewood Resort located in Antigua, West Indies.

Each of the 40 guestrooms, suites and villas, scattered across the 300-acre private island resort, is now equipped with a Control4 system. Guests use a single Control4 remote and simple, on-screen interface to control the television, NXTV system, Bose sound system, DVD Player and iPod docking station. The hotel can upgrade the ZigBee-based wireless Control4 system with additional capabilities, such as lighting control and energy management, without complex rewiring and additional construction costs.

Last summer, Rosewood Sand Hill, located in California’s Silicon Valley, installed Control4 Suite Systems for its ability to give guests one platform for controlling TV and video content, as well as automated room control. Using a single, handheld remote and the Control4 onscreen high-definition user interface, guests can easily select TV stations, integrated IPTV Video-on-Demand content, music, as well as lights in the room. The success of the Rosewood Sand Hill installation led to the Jumby Bay project.

“Hotel guests are looking for the ultimate in comfort and convenience when they visit world class resorts,” said Antonio DiMilia, vice president, Hospitality for Control4, “We allow hotel owners to simplify the guest experience and enable guests to enjoy all of the available in-room entertainment devices through a sleek, easy to use system.”
