DOWNERS GROVE, ILL.—Jet, a national leader in gift card production and fulfillment, recently released a new sampling of production specialty cards. The new recyclable, fiber-based cards are made with 100 percent wood fiber and offer an alternative to plastic cards. This material allows the use of special inks, foils, and varnishes to produce a final product that cannot be obtained on traditional plastic cards.

“Clients repeatedly ask us to help them find ways to make their gift cards stand out from the crowd,” said Greg Nye, vice president of sales at Jet. “With our new specialty cards, clients can bring their brand to life using creative design and sophisticated print techniques.”

The production run was created in partnership with Monadnock Paper Mills, Inc, a manufacturer of technical/specialty and premium printing and packaging papers, using Monadnock Envi Card stock. Monadnock Envi Card stock, part of the Monadnock Envi Portfolio, is made from renewable wood fiber, contains no PVC and can simply be thrown in the mixed paper recycle bin after use.

“We’re proud to partner with Jet to offer an eco-friendly alternative to plastic cards,” said Steve Dussair, regional sales manager at Monadnock Paper Mills. “Jet’s printing techniques and creative designs are exceptional—this card truly stands out amid today’s marketing clutter.”
