LAGRANGE, GA.—InterfaceFLOR, LLC officially rolled out its Interface Hospitality division at HD Expo in Las Vegas. Dozens of new designs have been added to the initial library of modular carpet tile patterns that specifiers will be able to access when composing a floor covering for their hospitality projects.

“Whether it’s for guestrooms, corridors or public spaces, Interface Hospitality is ready with a solution that’s equally attractive as it is practical,” said Charley Knight, vice president of Interface Hospitality. “DYF—design your floor— is the Interface Hospitality mantra, because what we’re offering is an extensive selection of patterns that can be specified in a wide range of colors and then configured into flooring landscapes that become distinctive, custom wall-to-wall or area rug looks.”

The tiles can be installed non-directionally and dye lots are mergeable, so there’s never a worry that a completed design has a mis-matched tile. The product assortment being launched includes 79 patterns in the initial DYF Custom Pattern Library, which are classified as either classic, modern, organic, traditional or whimsy. These styles run the gamut, from densely decorated geometrics to a large scale stylized floral to 20th century interpretations of oriental motifs. These are available as 50 cm-x-50 cm or 1 m-x-1 m squares.

Five Products for Guestroom Applications

Additionally, Interface Hospitality is introducing five products especially for guestroom applications. They take their cues from residential interiors, with subtler decoration yet decidedly good looking. While four of these products are offered in the standard 50 cm-x-50 cm size, one—a tailored linear style—inspired the inclusion of a 1 m-x-25 cm plank-shape tile because it composes so well into a herringbone or other parquet-like application.

The luxurious appearance and hand are pervasive traits of the Custom Pattern Library. This has been achieved by incorporating InterfaceFLOR’s Tapestry technology, which helps deliver bold patterning, crisp saturated colors and more sculptural dimension and texture.

Soiled or stained areas can be quickly and easily remedied by simply replacing individual tiles as needed. Room refreshes, an industry constant, can be completed much faster, economizing on time, labor and cost. Glue-free installation with TacTiles, InterfaceFLOR’s proprietary installation system, adds to the performance value as well. The use of these connectors reduces mess, odor and VOCs, and makes selective replacement of a tile that much easier. Their use also creates a far lower environmental impact than traditional glue installations.

Having a lower environmental impact is another Interface Hospitality benefit. The tiles in this series are made with post-consumer content fiber and optional post-consumer content backing resulting from InterfaceFLOR’s ReEntry 2.0 carpet recycling program.
