CLEVELAND, OHIO—The InterContinental Suites Cleveland now offers guests the option to stay in PURE Allergy Friendly Rooms. The PURE air purification system will be utilized in 13 hotel suites, in order to improve air quality and enhance guest satisfaction. In addition, PURE rooms feature deluxe bedding encasements, with virtually allergen free pillow and mattress covers, to protect guests from irritants and pollutants. The new PURE rooms are being introduced as part of the InterContinental Suites’ new wellness-themed renovation, which will transform the Cleveland hotel into a center of wellness and tranquility.
“Adding PURE rooms to the new InterContinental Suites Hotel was the next logical step in enhancing our guests’ experience and transforming the property into a center of wellness and tranquility,” said Neville Erasmus, executive assistant manager, InterContinental Suites Hotel. “We are the first-ever wellness-themed InterContinental property in North America, so it makes sense that we are also the first to incorporate the leading allergy-fighting technology into our guest suites.”
The PURE process treats every surface in a guestroom, including the air and water. Virtually allergy free filters protect guests from irritants such as mold, viruses, bacteria, pollen, and yeast.
In order to maintain the PURE room experience for guests, the InterContinental Suites will follow a rigorous, seven-step, U.S. patented process to remove up to 99 percent of pollutants from the air. In this process, surfaces in the room are specially cleansed and treated to remove allergens. The air and water are also treated. Mattresses and pillows are encased in soft and breathable hypoallergenic coverings to protect guests from dust mite allergens. Carpets and upholstery are re-cleaned every few months to keep them pure.
