PORTUGAL—Greenvolt, through Greenvolt Next, will be responsible for implementing photovoltaic solar panels in 13 units of the Vila Galé Group. The agreement now reached provides the possibility that in the future more units from one of the largest hotel groups in Portugal can be covered by green energy.
Through Greenvolt Next Invest, which does not require any initial investment from the customer, 2,331 photovoltaic solar panels will be implemented, distributed across 13 of the 31 hotel units in Vila Galé from the North to the South of Portugal. The installed capacity of the panels will amount to 1.2 MWp, which will allow the Vila Galé Group to generate 1,962 MWh annually.
“The Greenvolt Group is proud to be able to work with one of the largest hotel groups in Portugal, providing several of its units with an energy solution whose merit is increasingly recognized by many national companies,” says João Manso Neto. “There are many added values, both for companies and for the country,” adds the CEO of the Greenvolt Group.
“This is a partnership that brings great added value to the Vila Galé Group, allowing us to continue with the sustainable growth of our operations,” says Jorge Rebelo de Almeida, the President and founder of the Vila Galé Group. “With Greenvolt Next we were able, without any investment, to provide several of our units with access to substantially cheaper energy, which is also completely clean, advancing the energy transition process and contributing to the much-needed decarbonization of our economy.”
