VENICE, CALIF.—Sustainable contemporary furniture-design firm Animavi announced the introduction of the Animavi Artisan Screen, a seven-section, freestanding space-defining sculpture for commercial and custom residential applications.

The Artisan Screen is comprised of seven handcrafted steel bases that can be configured in a linear or serpentine form, enabling a six- to seven-foot length. The base unit is available in two finishes: artisan patina or raw steel. The seven-foot vertical planks that make up the screen can be specified in three different material options: Chroma by 3form, Varia Pure Color ecoresin by 3form or Forest Stewardship (FSC)-certified bamboo by Plyboo.

“The Artisan Screen is inspired by handcrafted jewelry,” Animavi partner and Artisan Screen-designer Laurie Schmidt said. “It’s true function is to redefine space, and it’s designed with the flexibility to do that in a linear or serpentine form.”

The screen’s steel is clear-coated for indoor or outdoor applications. As with all Animavi products, the Artisan Screen is designed and manufactured with sustainability in mind: steel components can be recycled; vertical resin planks can be reclaimed and recycled; and bamboo planks are FSC-certified, urea formaldehyde-free and rapidly renewable.

Animavi entered the high-end furnishings market with products that uniquely incorporate premium-grade sustainable components (such as rapidly renewable Plyboo bamboo panels and 3form ecoresin) with artisan-quality craftsmanship and quality engineered manufacturing details. Animavi products are designed and manufactured to be environmentally healthy.
