CHICAGO—Everpure, a Pentair company, announced that its MRS-600 HE (High Efficiency) Reverse Osmosis (RO) System has received the Kitchen Innovations 2009 Award, presented by the National Restaurant Association Restaurant Show—the second consecutive year that a product from Everpure has won such an honor. A panel of independent industry experts judged and selected the award recipients, who were chosen for having provided cutting-edge products that successfully addressed the growing needs of foodservice operators.

MRS-600 HE is currently the highest efficiency foodservice RO system available today. The system dramatically reduces water waste and consumes less energy, while providing the highest quality, premium water available, leading to reduced costs and increased efficiency. Unlike conventional reverse osmosis systems, which are usually only about 20 percent efficient in producing water, the MRS-600 HE provides as high as 80 percent efficiency. This means operators can avoid sending thousands of gallons of water down the drain, saving them money on sewer costs.

“Being awarded the Kitchen Innovations Award for the second year in a row is a great honor within the foodservice industry,” says Mark Selander, marketing manager of Everpure. “The Kitchen Innovation Award demonstrates that the MRS-600 HE is one of the best RO systems available on the market today, helping operators reduce their carbon footprint by using an efficient and more environmentally friendly system.”

As a Kitchen Innovations 2009 Award winner, MRS-600 HE was featured in an exclusive interactive area during the National Restaurant Association Restaurant, Hotel-Motel Show at Chicago’s McCormick Place last month.
