Emerson Launches Big Blue Humidity Touchscreen Thermostat

ST. LOUIS, MO.—Emerson Climate Technologies, a business of Emerson, announced the launch of its Big Blue Humidity Control Touchscreen Thermostat. This universal thermostat, which features a large blue touchscreen, controls single-stage, multi-stage and heat pump systems with up to four stages of heat and two stages of cool.

The Emerson Big Blue Humidity Control Touchscreen offers two selectable program schedules or can be dedicated non-programmable. It has up to four time and temperature settings per program and can be either battery powered with power stealing assist or hardwired.

“Contractors now have an easy sell to their customers that desire premium comfort control for their HVAC systems,” said Geoff Godwin, vice president of marketing, Emerson Climate Technologies, White-Rodgers division. “Besides offering humidification and dehumidification control at the thermostat, the Big Blue Humidity Touchscreen offers up to four stages of heat in heat pump mode for optimum comfort and energy savings.”

The following features are unique to the Big Blue Humidity thermostat:

• Exclusive Cool Savings—saves energy during peak A/C demand periods;

• Dual Fuel heat pump logic control—no outdoor sensor required;

• Programmable fan with Comfort Circulator Fan option;

• Enhanced dehumidification fan speed control; and

• Flow-through humidifier water-saving feature—reduces water up to 50 percent.
