INDIANAPOLIS—Continuing its dedication to water conservation and energy efficiency, Delta Faucet Co. announced that it has added a water-efficient showerhead to its product line. Designed with the hospitality industry in mind, The Water-Efficient Showerhead with H2Okinetic Technology uses only 1.6 gallons of water per minute (gpm) as opposed to the standard 2.5 gpm, while still delivering a superior shower experience.

H2Okinetic Technology provides greater control over the showering experience by managing the water droplet size and velocity, spray coverage and thermal dynamics. Its water-conserving properties deliver the feeling of a standard showerhead at a lower flow. Standard showers deliver 2.5 gpm with a water pressure of 80 pounds per square inch (psi). Delta’s new Water-Efficient Showerhead delivers 1.6 gpm at 80 psi. This translates to a 36 percent savings of water, providing a warm, drenching shower experience.

Because of the unique way that H2Okinetic Technology shapes and affects the water it delivers, the user’s shower experience is greatly enhanced. The patented technology controls the movement of water without moving parts within the body sprays—eliminating the risk of malfunction. A variety of elements are impacted to create a more comfortable and consistent experience:

• Droplet size: Larger droplets provide more water coverage, creating a more saturating, drenching sensation.
• Droplet velocity: Droplets are delivered at a higher velocity for a more relaxing, massaging experience.
• Spray coverage: A dense spray pattern provides more complete water coverage, enveloping the user in a blanket of water and warmth.
• Thermal dynamics: Larger droplets maintain a more uniform temperature as they travel away from the showerhead.

“Luxurious showers and spa-like environments are more important than ever to hotel guests and research shows that Delta’s new showerhead was consumer-preferred against other low-flow models,” said Paul Patton, senior product development manager, Delta Faucet Co. “It provides guests with blanketing showers while conserving water and reducing utility costs.”

The showerhead is available in chrome to coordinate with most existing hospitality bath suites. Delta plans to introduce this product in other trade markets and at retail in the near future.

Delta Faucet Co.’s exclusive H2Okinetic Technology is available on two custom shower systems by Brizo, Vesi and Quiessence; as well as the Delta Monitor 1800 Jetted Shower Series; and in the 1900 TempAssure Thermostatic Custom Shower Systems including The Michael Graves Collection, Victorian and Lockwood Collections by Delta.
