OSHKOSH, WIS.—Continental Girbau recently released the new MG-Series hard-mount washer-extractors, available in 40- and 55-pound capacities. Continental’s highest performing hard-mount washers, MG-Series Washers feature up to 200 G-force extract speeds, superior energy-efficiency, and advanced programmability.

The new MG-Series Washers—suited for an array of on-premise laundry facilities—are engineered to reduce utility costs and labor, while boosting productivity. Unlike many other hard-mount washers on the market, which typically produce extract speeds between 70 and 120-G-force, MG-Series generates speeds of 200 G-force.

In addition to the new 200 G-force MG Series hard-mount line, Continental offers a full array of washers for on-premise laundries, including the E-Series freestanding line with extract speeds of up to 387 G-force; the 141 G-force M-Series hard-mount line; and the 131 G-force L-Series hard-mount line.

Drying Time Reduction

By generating more than double the G-force of many hard-mount washers, MG-Series Washers remove considerably more water from each load. This reduces dry-time and natural gas consumption—cutting utility costs, and simultaneously, improves laundry productivity. “With higher extract speeds, laundry can be processed more quickly—saving time, energy, and labor,” said Joel Jorgensen, Continental vice president of sales and customer services.

“MG-Series Washers are built to mimic our high-performance E-Series Washers,” he added. “Many of the shared components result in a hard-mount washer with unrivaled energy-efficiency. Superior programmability using the washer’s Logi-Pro Control means laundries can properly clean a variety of soil levels and fabrics, including silk, NOMEX, GORTEX, suede, wool, linen and denim.”

The MG-Series line comes equipped with the Logi Pro Control, which offers up to 25 individually modifiable programs—each with up to 11 baths, including multiple pre-wash, wash and rinse phases to create the most efficient customized cycles. The Logi Pro delivers up to six programmable water levels; a delayed start and rinse option; overnight soak; variable wash action; programmable extract speeds, including zero rotation; temperature controlled fill up to 194 degrees; and timed chemical dosing by the second.

“Using the Logi Pro Control, wash parameters are programmable to ensure optimum efficiency and results,” Jorgensen said. “MG-Series washers also have many unique features that offer laundries unmatched flexibility.”

Feature That Saves on Chemicals

The Logi Pro Control, for example, incorporates a water and chemical adjustment feature. The user simply selects the size of the load. The control will automatically adjust the amount of water and chemicals according to the selected load size—a feature that saves valuable water and chemicals.

Also key to laundry productivity are the Rinse Hold and Delay Start functions. Rinse Hold halts final rinse cycle, leaving the load to soak for added stain removal; while the Delay function allows the machine to start at a specific time of the day or night to bolster laundry productivity during hours when utilities are less costly or attendants are not present.

Moreover, MG-Series Washers are stingy on water thanks to exclusive features and a sump-less design. Engineered without a sump—a water containment area at the base of the washer—MG-Series Washers save up to three gallons of water with each fill when compared to machines equipped with an outer tub sump. This cuts water usage and water heating costs. With AquaFall, a system that releases water into the drum through holes in the drum lifters, MG-Series Washers also boast superior load saturation, chemical penetration and rinsing.
