SYRACUSE, N.Y.—The most recent advances in environmentally sound and energy-efficient commercial indoor air comfort technologies from Carrier Corp. are featured in a new traveling exhibit. Carrier is a subsidiary of United Technologies Corp. The Carrier Traveling Showcase is available for viewing exclusively through Carrier authorized sales locations.

The 51-foot, 18-wheel trailer transforms into a living laboratory featuring a variety of the latest Carrier commercial product technologies: the Carrier Evergreen 23XRV variable speed screw chiller; the Carrier AERO Air Handling units; the Carrier Microchannel Heat Exchanger; the Carrier Centurion rooftop cooling units; and the Carrier 3V and i-Vu control systems.

“The Showcase is a great opportunity for our distributors to connect with their customers,” says Dan Smytka, president of Carrier North America Building Systems and Services. “This newly updated experience provides our customers the opportunity to interact with five of our most significant products in an exciting way.”

Focus on Five Technologies

The Traveling Showcase will focus on five technologies that illustrate Carrier’s total solutions approach to indoor air comfort:

• The Carrier Evergreen 23XRV, a variable speed screw chiller using HFC-134a refrigerant as an extension to the Evergreen Series water-cooled chiller line. This product was the first by Carrier to employ new technology to achieve superior energy efficiency with zero compromise on ozone protection.

• The Carrier AERO Air Handling units, designed to provide comfort heating, construction site heating, moisture removal, climate control and temporary heating solutions. Units can be equipped with HEPA filters, fully drainable quad-sloped drain pans, AgION antimicrobial-coated steel and other options.

• The Carrier Microchannel Heat Exchanger technology, which is integrated into Carrier chiller units for increased durability and resistance to corrosion. Microchannel technology uses aluminum tubes and fins with special metallic coatings for longer coil life and reduced corrosion.
• The Carrier Centurion gas heating/electric cooling rooftop units, which provide industry-leading operating efficiencies, and ease of maintenance, installation and reliability. Units come pre-wired and pre-charged with Puron (R-410a) environmentally sound refrigerant at the factory.
• The Carrier 3V and i-Vu control systems, which integrate electronically communicating DDC controls with world-class HVAC equipment, to continually monitor and satisfy the varying comfort requirements in one’s building.

“We are pleased to be able to provide Carrier sales entities with an engaging way to educate their customers about our core products,” says Mary Milmoe, director, Carrier Marketing Communications, Building Systems and Services. “The technologies featured in the Showcase allow customers to understand and experience Carrier’s total solutions approach to any commercial air comfort project.”

The Carrier Traveling Showcase is available through Carrier distributors. A list of scheduled Showcase dates will be periodically updated at www.carrier.com.
