LITTLE SILVER, N.J.—BedBug Chasers, a national supplier of bed bug heat remediation equipment and a provider of heat remediation services to the pest control industry in New Jersey, has expanded its service area to include the New York Metropolitan and Philadelphia markets. Following its New Jersey model of turn-key subcontracted heat remediation services, pest control operators (PCOs) in these other areas can now achieve a higher ROI than if they performed the treatment themselves.

The BedBug Chaser green 100 percent chemical free electric heaters were designed with the KISS principle (Keep It Simple and Straightforward) and in continuing that same methodology into their service offerings BedBug Chasers has adopted a straightforward pricing matrix. This allows PCOs to quote bed bug heat remediation jobs efficiently and keep their ROI where it needs to be. Larry Smith, vice president of operations for BedBug Chasers, commented, “We came out with our rental program to help PCOs compete with the larger national companies. That program has worked so well that our PCOs simply do not have the manpower to perform the number of heat remediation jobs they can sell. Our subcontracted services allow BedBug Chasers to perform the heat remediation directly for the PCO, giving their customers a seamless heat remediation service that is part of their overall IPM solution.”

Frank Como, president of BedBug Chasers stated, “PCOs are adopting an integrated pest management (IPM) approach to handling most projects which means they need multiple solutions at their disposal. We are just another tool that the PCO can rely upon to ensure that their customer has the very best solution for their particular problem. It also means that the PCO will be receiving the best performing heat solution in the most cost efficient manner.”

BedBug Chasers is planning to open other service centers in areas around the country where there are large bed bug populations. The company’s Larry Smith indicated that this expansion will be a combination of company owned offices and a franchise offering. “We have already filled all of the necessary documents, have our nationwide agreements in place and will be making our franchises available to the public within the very near future,” he said.
