NEW YORK—Boutique Design New York (BDNY), the leading trade fair and conference for boutique hotel design, will host two days of dynamic programming, signature Designed Spaces, the all-new Dine & Design PopUp, and more than 700 of the latest design-focused products in the industry. Held November 10 to 11, the annual fair offers a productive experience for designers, architects, purchasing agents, hoteliers, owners, and developers to view the latest product launches and connect with industry leaders, peers, and innovators.

“As one of the leading trade events for hospitality’s boutique design community, we are thrilled to feature creative content that is inspiring and innovative, including the debut of Dine & Design, a new F&B-focused feature, and a robust schedule of talks with industry leaders and up-and-comers. We continue to provide a platform that ignites creativity, starts conversations, highlights the latest trends, and showcases leading-edge products,” says Keisha Byrd, VP and Brand Director, Hospitality Design Group.

What’s New?

Dine & Design: A BDNY PopUp: New in 2024, this innovative feature is targeted to high-end, front-of-house restaurant and bar design. Anchored by Café Hue—a Bauhaus-inspired active space envisioned by Jessica Gidari of hospitality design and branding consultancy J.GIDARI—this popup will showcase a wide array of curated products, including furniture, tableware, uniforms, branding items, lighting, flooring, and more. Perfect for networking, this space offers light fare, with coffee and wine service available throughout the day.

Design Tours

Ahead of the trade fair, explore New York’s vibrant design culture on Saturday, November 9 with exclusive access to some of the city’s latest hotel projects: the Kimpton Hotel Theta, the Tempo by Hilton New York Times Square, and Moxy Brooklyn Williamsburg. Each tour is led by design and brand team representatives and concludes with networking over cocktails and light bites. Advance registration is required for all tours, here.

Designed Spaces

BDNY’s four remarkable Designed Spaces—created by leading designers and sponsoring manufacturers— allow attendees to experience design elements for hospitality interiors in the context of refined lounges, cafes, and other gathering spaces throughout the exhibit floor. These visionary concepts are meticulously crafted in collaboration with BDNY exhibitors and sponsors to inspire and offer a place for attendees to take in intimate panels covering top-of-mind topics.

Serendipitous Encounters by BLUR Workshop | Booth: 3119

Inspiration often comes from the unexpected rather than the planned, much like the serendipitous encounters one experiences while traveling—where the beauty of a place is discovered, not prescribed. The goal of this space is to capture the wonder of serendipity through design. BLUR’s mix of interior design and architecture services exemplifies the firm’s motto: to design without boundaries.

Salone by Baskervill | Booth: 261

Drawing inspiration from the 15th-century salone, this modern renaissance reimagines a lively gathering that honors the art of in-person conversation and creative engagement in our digital world. The experience is theatrical, a little unpredictable, and filled with bold, immersive, and intimate interactions. Each space is designed to host shared moments—whether through music, performance art, food, or drink. Far from over-decorated, Salone’s sculptural and evocative setting provides the perfect backdrop for contemporary conversation.

Sobremesa by Curioso | Booth: 2861

How can we design a space that fosters connections, sparks creativity, and brings together the brightest minds in our industry? Drawing inspiration from sobremesa—the Spanish tradition of lingering around the table in deep conversation with friends—Curioso crafted a space designed for meaningful interactions.

Hidden Gem by Parker-Torres Design | Booth: 1873

Nature’s artistry shines in the transformation of volcanic lava into a geode, a stunning evolution that celebrates the beauty of imperfection. Drawn to its mystery, explorers reveal the intricate crystalline structure within—each one uniquely radiant, multifaceted, and alive with vibrant, prismatic colors. Geodes remind us that beauty lies in perspective. Discover Parker-Torres Design’s own gem of a space.

Conference Programming Highlights

Engaging talks from hospitality industry veterans, rising stars, and thought leaders will take place on the Mainstage—designed by Brooklyn, New York studio Watts & Dray—in the Hub, the NEWH booth, the River Pavilion, and throughout the four Designed Spaces.
