In 2023, Atrium supported nearly 1,000 management-level internal promotions and new hires for corporate and on-property positions with its growing company. Alpharetta, Georgia-based Atrium Hospitality is one of the nation’s largest hotel operators. The company manages a portfolio of 80 hotels, representing well-known brands such as Hilton, Marriott, IHG, and Wyndham, in 28 states. Atrium operates approximately 20,000 guestrooms/suites and 3 million square feet of event space.

Atrium Hospitality’s 2023 Management-Level Talent Trends Snapshot

  • Management-Level Internal Promotions: Eighty-six percent of Atrium’s management-level internal promotions were for on-property roles, and 14 percent were for corporate positions. Internal promotions represented more than one-third (35 percent) of the nearly 1,000 management-level positions Atrium filled in 2023.
  • Management-Level New Hires: Eighty-seven percent of the company’s management-level new hires supported on-property jobs, and 13 percent joined corporate roles.
  • On-Property Focus: The areas of sales, food and beverage, and accounting represented the greatest demand for Atrium’s on-property management-level internal promotions and new hires.
  • Corporate Focus: The sales and accounting functions demonstrated the highest growth for corporate management-level internal promotions and new hires with the company. Atrium has experienced a significant expansion of its above-property enterprise sales organization (ESO), where remote-based highly skilled sellers support multiple hotels and brands.
