WILMINGTON, DEL.—American Hometec, Inc. introduces its patented coilless technology for electric tankless water heaters. American Hometec’s innovative coilless technology heats water indirectly with a patented space industry quality quartz tube technology with a semi-conductor coating for increased efficiency and water conservation.

With American Hometec’s coilless gechnology, the electric components are never in direct contact with the water being heated, preventing accumulation of lime scale inside the unit. Other electric heaters on the market immerse coils in water to directly heat the water, which causes heat spots, and over time, lime scale builds up and causes a decrease in heating efficiency and eventual failure of the water heating unit.

“We’re proud to be a pioneer in the industry and to bring our patented coilless technology to the market,” said David Millilo, American Hometec’s director of marketing. “American Hometec’s technology is unlike anything else on the market; it maintains efficiency at the design level of 95 to 99 percent throughout equipment lifetime, it’s free of lime scaling issues, suitable for all water conditions and has an unparalleled warranty. American Hometec has single-handedly changed the game in water heating by offering this new technology for tankless water heaters.”

As utility rates reach all-time highs, interest in energy-efficient water heaters is increasing. Tankless water heaters, also called instantaneous or demand water heaters, heat water only on demand, without the use of a storage tank. This differs from traditional storage water heaters that are constantly heating, and therefore producing standby energy losses and unnecessary costs to the consumer. Combining the benefits of hot water on demand with a long-lasting technology, such as American Hometec’s coilless solution, tankless water heaters that feature the patented coilless technology are the next generation in the industry.

Over the next few months, American Hometec will introduce a family of products ranging from low-flow single use units to higher capacity units suitable for both residential and commercial applications. All of the company’s electric tankless water heaters will feature the patented coilless technology. The compact and modern-looking tankless water heaters can be installed in almost any dwelling space. American Hometec’s tankless water heater units will be available to plumbing supply and HVAC wholesalers.
