BROOKFIELD, WISC.—The 2008 Wisconsin Lodging Conference & Trade Show will be held October 27 to 28 at the Hilton Madison Monona Terrace. This annual conference is the largest gathering of Wisconsin lodging owners and operators in the state. The Wisconsin Innkeepers Assn., the state’s only association representing the entire lodging industry and one of the largest state lodging associations in the country, is the host for this marquee event.

The conference will feature a special panel presentation titled, “Exploring Niche Tourism Markets: Green Tourists, Geocaching & Culinary Tourism,” which will help property owners and operators attract travelers who are conscious about their carbon footprint.

The trade show will serve as a convenient way for innkeepers to find vendors, new products and services, and ways to improve their operations and bottom line. Focus on Energy and Travel Green Wisconsin will be on hand to provide advice on “going green” and ways to focus on energy efficiency without a huge investment.

The full package registration for WIA member property owners and operators is $209 per person (a special $199 discount is available if registered before October 13), and $280 for non-members. To register or for more information, please contact the WIA Office at 262/782-2851.

Registrations may also be made securely online at www.WisconsinLodging.info by clicking on the WIA logo at the bottom of the page, then navigating to WIA Events—Register Online.
