One of the organizations that suffered the most was Clean the World, the Orlando, Fla. based nonprofit that is dependent on donations of soap, amenity bottles, financial support, and volunteers to keep its mission rolling. “The donation drop off was more than 75 percent during the pandemic,” says Robert Montgomery, Clean the World’s VP Product Development. “Clean the World laid off 80 percent of staff. The Cannabis Plant & Its Green Tourism Potential

INTERNATIONAL REPORT—It would hardly be an exaggeration to consider the cannabis plant as one of the most eco-friendly species on the planet. Let’s start with the fact that among all plants in the moderate climate zone, cannabis holds a record for producing the most biomass per season. This means that it is the fastest in extracting CO2 from the atmosphere. Cannabis, or rather its non-psychoactive version, hemp, is also a completely versatile material that can be turned into biofuel and hempcrete (a much more environmentally friendly alternative to concrete), fabric, plastics, paper, and paints while cannabis seeds have a deserved...

Why You Should Rethink Toxic Cleaning Methods

NATIONAL REPORT—Whether it’s in the context of commercial or home cleaning, going green is an important consideration. The damage of the cleaning industry as it currently exists extends to individual health and impacts the larger climate. The chemicals in cleaning products can damage your health. These chemicals can also enter the environment through the water system. For example, if you flush a toilet or empty a mop bucket down a drain, then that means the ammonia, acids, and other chemicals are going into the environment. Thousands of chemicals just from cleaning products are washed into rivers, streams, and oceans every day. Below...

As part of its Preparedness Plan, on March 17, the Administration launched the Clean Air in Buildings Challenge. It calls on all building owners and operators to assess their indoor air quality and make ventilation and air filtration...
