KOHLER, WISC.—At the recent Greenbuild International Conference and Expo, Kohler Co., a global leader in kitchen and bath design and technology, showcased two of the company’s newest water-saving toilets: the gravity-fed Kohler Persuade with Twin Touch technology and the Kohler San Raphael Pressure Lite.
The San Raphael is Kohler’s first one-piece, 1.0 gallon-per-flush (gpf) high-efficiency toilet with pressure assist technology. ROCHESTER, N.Y.—There’s an “invasion” of little pink bags occurring in female restrooms across the United States as inventor-entrepreneur Ann Germanow launches SCENSIBLES, a specially designed single-use scented bag for the hygienic disposal of feminine care products.
“The inspiration for SCENSIBLES came several years ago when I noticed signs in public restrooms that read: Do not flush tampons,” explained Germanow, co-founder and president of The Scensible Source Company, LLC. “The only option was discarding items in filthy, germ-contaminated stall waste bins which were unacceptable to me.”

Constellation NewEnergy Signs Renewable Energy Agreement with InterContinental Chicago Hotel
CHICAGO—Constellation Energy announced that its subsidiary, Constellation NewEnergy, has entered into a green electricity purchase agreement with the InterContinental Chicago Hotel. As part of the agreement, Constellation NewEnergy will secure approximately 2 million kilowatt hours of Green-e certified Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs) through its NewMix Super product to match 50 percent of the hotel’s electricity usage.
